This is an excellent opportunity to join my client, a trusted, eco-conscious Multidisciplinary Consultancy, renowned for their expertise across the civil and structural engineering landscapes, and their passion for, and dedication to, sustainability. They are seeking a capable, talented Senior Hydraulic Modeller, willing to take on a variety of challenging projects alongside an already-established team of experts, based in the picturesque, unofficial capital of Yorkshire, Leeds.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include:

• Taking the lead on a range of flood risk, surface water, drainage, and airport-related design projects for the public and private sectors
• Contributing to River Restoration and Flood Alleviation projects
• Completing Flood Risk Assessments for Zones 1, 2, and 3
• Producing Surface Water Management Plans, as well as Surface Water and Foul Drainage Strategies
• Flood Risk Mapping and Modelling, using the appropriate software (including TuFlow and Flood Modeller)
• Putting together Residential Drainage and Sewerage designs, using Causeway Flow and Micro Drainage across a number of projects
• Submitting Drainage Area Plans

Required skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include:

• A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering (or a cognate discipline)
• Demonstrable experience of having worked for a UK-based consultancy or Local Authority, in a design capacity
• Extensive experience of authoring Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water Drainage Strategies, and Hydraulic Modelling
• Outstanding working knowledge of the relevant software packages, including Flood Modeller, Tuflow, and Causeway Flow
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organisational skills

Desirable skills and experience for the role of Senior Hydraulic Modeller include:

• Experience completing Drainage Designs
• Hold Chartership Status, or proactively working to attain this
• Prior experience of having lead design projects and/or a team
• Good knowledge of the local area and surrounding region
