I am working with a RCT based manufacturing business who are looking to add a product designer to the team. Now part of a larger group and experiencing significant growth - including recent major public-sector contract wins - the business is investing heavily in new product development and expanding its in-house design capability.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and development of inflatable safety and rescue products
Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings
Support prototype development and testing activities
Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility
Conduct basic engineering calculations and material assessments
Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem-solving discussionsRequirements

Diploma or degree qualified in engineering or product design
2+ years experience working in a design role
Experience working with Autocad and Solidedge
