About the Role
Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for delivering high-quality, safety-critical projects We re looking for a Project Engineer to join our dynamic team, playing a key role in the successful delivery of innovative Watermist or Sprinkler fire protection systems across a variety of exciting projects.
In this role, you ll work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest technical and safety standards
. You ll be at the heart of the action coordinating with clients, managing on-site activities, and ensuring every stage of the project runs smoothly.
What You ll Be Doing
- Supporting project delivery from handover to completion
- Preparing and maintaining project programmes and documentation
- Liaising with clients to ensure satisfaction and clear communication
- Coordinating on-site teams, contractors, and suppliers
- Managing materials, labour costs, and project budgets
- Conducting site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety checks
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
- Preparing and submitting O&M manuals, as-fitted drawings, and certification
- Identifying and managing project variations and final accounts
What We re Looking For
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Proven experience managing projects from £5k to £2m within construction or fire protection
- Confident managing on-site resources and maintaining schedules
- Holds SMSTS and CSCS certifications
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and safety management principles
- Relevant qualification (NVQ, HNC/HND, City & Guilds) in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering
- Proficient in MS Office and project documentation tools (RAMs, Quality Plans, CTC Sheets, Trackers)
