Scopeof the Role Process Subject Matter Expert
- Achieve and maintain expert knowledge of processes and equipment within a specific manufacturing area
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation
- Design process changes to realize the identified opportunities
- Conduct engineering change management activities to assess proposed process changes
- Contribute to preliminary financial analysis of improvements to quantify benefit
- Evaluate potential improvements to ensure the most beneficial are prioritized
- Oversee implementation of changes
- Ensure processes meet EHS, quality, and other regulatory requirements
- Conduct process and equipment assessments to identify risks and implement corrective actions
- Work with maintenance, production, quality, and capital project teams to design, implement, and maintain production equipment and systems
- Investigate and troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Contribute to the engineering documentation/drawing management system
- Contribute to the development of SOPs, validation protocols, and user requirement specifications
- Write technical reports
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- 3+ years of experience in a process engineering role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience in an oral solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Experience with process optimisation
- Experience writing technical reports
- Experience in a highly regulated industry (preferred)
- Experience with industrial building services (preferred)
- Experience working in a cGMP environment (preferred)
