CNC Shift Lead

Adept Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of our client, a successful and growing precision engineering business, for an experienced CNC Shift Lead to join their operations team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator who is ready for the next step, or an experienced Lead seeking a new challenge in a modern, forward-thinking engineering environment.

As CNC Shift Lead, you will:

• Act as the go to technical expert for your shift.

• Programme, set and operate CNC machining centres (experience with HURCO and FANUC controls highly beneficial).

• Allocate work, communicate the production plan, and ensure standards and deadlines are met.

• Drive shift performance and promote best-practice in tooling, work holding and tight-tolerance machining.

• Support NPI activities, including CAD/CAM involvement.

• Work with Engineering to identify cost and time reductions in manufacturing.

• Lead quality investigations to determine true root cause.

• Assist in Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.

• Support training and development of team members.

• A time-served apprentice or equivalent engineering background.

• Experienced in programming FANUC or Hurco would be ideal

• Experienced in a supervisory or lead role.

• Strong inspection and measurement capability.

• Comfortable working on medium to high volume batch work.

• Confident communicator with a proactive, positive approach.

• Experience with automation/robotics is an advantage.
