I am working with a RCT based manufacturing business who are looking to add a product designer to the team. Now part of a larger group and experiencing significant growth: including recent major public:sector contract wins: the business is investing heavily in new product development and expanding its in:house design capability. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of innovative, safety:critical products that support frontline teams in demanding environments.
Roles And Responsibilities- Assist in the design and development of inflatable safety and rescue products
- Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings
- Support prototype development and testing activities
- Collaborate with production, quality, and procurement teams to ensure design feasibility
- Conduct basic engineering calculations and material assessments
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to problem:solving discussions
- Diploma or degree qualified in engineering or product design
- 2+ years experience working in a design role
- Experience working with Autocad and Solidedge
