Site Engineer

Location: Site-based - Stratford or London Bridge, London

An established civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join its delivery team on major projects in London. The role is site-based and will involve working on schemes in the Stratford or London Bridge areas.

• Setting out for all aspects of civil engineering works using EDM/GPS

• Managing and overseeing drainage installations (foul and surface water)

• Supervising groundworks including excavations, foundations, and concrete works

• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, and method statements

• Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and design teams

• Maintaining accurate site records, including as-built information

• Ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards are met at all times

• Assisting with quality control and technical problem-solving on site

• Proven experience in a Site Engineer role within civil engineering

• Strong setting out experience (groundworks, drainage, RC, external works)

• Proficient in the use of surveying equipment (Total Station, GPS)

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Good understanding of health & safety procedures

• Valid CSCS card

• SMSTS certification (or working towards)

• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline preferred
