As a Game Designer, you will define how playable characters function, grow, and feel to play. Working closely with multiple disciplines, you will help ensure each character offers a clear identity, engaging mechanics, and a rewarding gameplay experience.
What you will do- Design and develop playable characters, including abilities, kits, and gameplay roles.
- Prototype, implement, and iterate on character mechanics using proprietary tools.
- Collaborate closely with combat, systems, narrative, animation, and engineering teams to bring characters to life.
- Help balance and refine character gameplay across solo and multiplayer experiences.
- Contribute to progression, rewards, and mastery systems tied to character play.
- Playtest regularly and iterate based on feedback to improve clarity, balance, and fun.
- An experienced game designer with a background in character, combat, or gameplay systems, ideally on AAA titles.
- Comfortable designing abilities and mechanics that clearly express a character’s fantasy and role.
- Familiar with the full game development cycle, from early concepts through iteration and polish.
- A thoughtful problem solver who can adapt to creative changes and technical constraints.
- Collaborative, organized, and able to communicate ideas clearly across disciplines.
