Management Accountant

Position: Management Accountant (Permanent)
Location: New Earswick

An established and growing manufacturing business based on the outskirts of York is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to strengthen their finance function.
This is a key role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, offering genuine variety, commercial exposure, and the opportunity to influence decision-making across operations. The business offers hybrid working with a minimum of two days per week on site and a competitive salary of up to £50,000.

The role

Produce accurate monthly management accounts with commentary and analysis
Partner with operational teams to support cost control, margin analysis, and performance reporting
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across manufacturing operations
Support and contribute to finance-led and cross-functional projects, including process improvement, system enhancements, and operational initiatives
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, systems, and reporting

What we’re looking for

Proven experience as a Management Accountant within a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of cost accounting, stock, and production reporting
Part-qualified or qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA, or qualified by experience
Confident working with ERP or manufacturing finance systems
Commercial mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders
