SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well established manufacturing business in Birmingham.

We are seeking a Financial Controller - ideally on short notice to 1 month notice to join a business with a great culture.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will look after the day-to-day management of the finance department, managing and supporting a team of 5.

• Management accounting / group management duties whilst training and developing a management accountant.
• Deliver insightful MI analysis and provide Finance Business Partner support to key operational departments.
• Lead on cost of manufacturing, bills of materials, and standardised product costings analysis.
• Full ownership of cashflow management, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Oversee weekly and monthly payroll.
• Drive the implementation & adoption of a new ERP system, modernising and streamlining finance processes.
• Partner with operational and commercial leads to provide financial insight, challenge, and support decision-making.
• Responsible for Year End, External Audit and Statutory submissions, in collaboration with the external practice.

The successful candidate:

Qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or Qualified by Experience
Manufacturing/engineering finance background, ideally with BOM experience
