Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality management accounting and financial insight to support decision‑making across the business.
- Prepare monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet commentary, and supporting schedules.
- Deliver accurate and timely variance analysis against budget and forecast, with clear explanations of performance drivers.
- Produce concise and insightful reporting for internal stakeholders.
- Lead and support annual budget preparation process.
- Support regular reforecasting and rolling forecast processes.
- Challenge assumptions and improve the quality and robustness of budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze cost and revenue trends, identify risks, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Support development of financial models and scenario analysis where required.
- Contribute to performance reporting and KPI development.
- Provide financial support and insight to operational teams.
- Maintain strong financial controls and reconciliation processes.
- Support continuous improvement of finance processes, reporting and systems.
- Assist with audit and year‑end activities as required.
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent).
- Proven experience of budget preparation and forecasting; highly proficient in variance analysis and performance reporting.
- Experience providing financial insight to non‑finance stakeholders, supporting operational and commercial decision‑making.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
- Substantial hands‑on experience in a management accounting role, with end‑to‑end responsibility for month‑end processes.
- Experience contributing to process improvement, systems development or reporting enhancements.
- Commercially aware, curious, and solutions‑focused, with the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively.
- Proactive and well‑organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Collaborative team player who builds strong working relationships across the business.
