Accounts Assistant

Position: Accounts Assistant (Permanent)
Location: Gilling East

A well-established and reputable business in Ampleforth is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance skills within a supportive, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:

Assist with monthly routines, preparing supporting information and maintaining accurate financial records.
Post day-to-day financial entries and ensure ledgers are up to date.
Carry out regular reconciliations across key accounts to maintain data integrity.
Produce routine and ad-hoc financial reports to support team decision-making.
Support finance administration, including VAT, audit preparation, and compliance tasks.
Respond to finance queries and provide general support across the wider team.

What We’re Looking For:

Proactive, hands-on approach with excellent communication skills.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to support the wider finance function.
Ability to work independently and use initiative to solve problems.
Previous experience in a finance role is desirable.
Comfortable adapting to new systems; experience with Oracle is a bonus.
