Salary: 33,000- 43,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:15am-4:00pm
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Reeson Education is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and motivated Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEN education setting in Manchester. This is an excellent permanent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting children and young people with a wide range of special educational and developmental needs.

This Occupational Therapist role focuses on assessing, planning, and delivering high-quality therapeutic interventions that promote independence, inclusion, and functional development. The successful Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with teaching staff, families, and multidisciplinary professionals to embed effective strategies into everyday learning and routines.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will support pupils across educational and community environments, contributing to sensory-friendly spaces and ensuring therapeutic input aligns with EHCP outcomes and best SEN practice.

Occupational Therapist - Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments as an Occupational Therapist to identify physical, sensory, and occupational needs
    Develop and deliver individualised therapy programmes aligned with EHCPs
    Embed therapeutic strategies into classroom practice as an Occupational Therapist
    Provide training and guidance to staff and caregivers
    Monitor, review, and adapt intervention plans as an Occupational Therapist
    Support inclusive, accessible, and sensory-friendly learning environments
    Maintain accurate and compliant therapy records
    Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams as an Occupational Therapist
    Uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times

Occupational Therapist - Requirements:

  • Degree (BSc or MSc) in Occupational Therapy
    HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
    Experience supporting children and young people with SEN
    Strong understanding of SEND legislation and safeguarding
    Excellent communication and collaborative working skills
    Commitment to continuous professional development as an Occupational Therapist
