We are recruiting for a Domestic Supervisor to join our Domestic Services Team at the Uist and Barra Hospital, Balavanich, Isle of Benbecula, HS7 5LA
.
The successful candidate will provide an efficient and high-quality domestic service to patients and staff, follow a defined schedule of work relating to defined areas, and supervise Domestic Assistants to ensure adequate staffing cover within wards and departments, maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
Responsibilities- Supervise Domestic Assistants; ensure adequate staffing cover within wards and departments.
- Provide day-to-day domestic service to patients and staff in accordance with schedules.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.
- Train staff to use cleaning equipment; ensure staff complete statutory and mandatory training.
- Monitor all areas of hospital clinical and non-clinical locations; wear protective clothing as supplied.
- Sign off daily/weekly sheets for areas.
- Assist with monitoring and use of cleaning agents following manufacturers instructions.
- Wear protective clothing and follow safety and infection control procedures.
- Shift times are 3pm to 7pm. Driving Licence is essential.
- Experience in supervision is desirable; full training provided.
- Flexible approach to daily routine; occasional work at other NHS Western Isles Health Board sites.
- Mandatory Induction Standards for Healthcare Support Workers; comply within three months of full-time employment or up to six months for part-time workers.
- PVG Scheme registration required.
- Permanent, 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday;
Band 3 - £28,011 - £30,230 pro rata; plus £1,406 Distant Island Allowance pro rata. - Location and queries:
