Summary

The Band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist will deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care across a range of clinical specialties, including musculoskeletal, inpatient and rehabilitation settings. The role involves assessment, planning and implementation of individualised treatment programmes to promote recovery and support discharge planning.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and implement physiotherapy treatment programmes across musculoskeletal, inpatient and rehabilitation settings.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to service development and participating in clinical supervision and in‑service training.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, adhere to professional standards and ensure safe, effective care delivery.
  • Participate in the Ayrshire on‑call rota; car access essential.
Qualifications
  • Registered physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Degree in physiotherapy and professional knowledge across multiple clinical areas.
  • Effective communication, time‑management and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
  • Basic IT skills and familiarity with electronic patient records.
  • Newly qualified physiotherapists encouraged; NHS experience desirable.
Working Hours & Pattern

37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with participation in the out‑of‑hours on‑call rota (evenings and weekends). Permanent position.

Transport

Driving licence and car ownership essential for the role; full UK/EU/EEA licence required.
