Supplier Performance Manager - 6 Month FTC (H/F) - SAFRAN GROUP at AEROCONTACT

The UK facility is the European Maintenance Centre Hub for the SHE Group, performing level 1 to level 3 maintenance and repairs on complex helicopter engine components, collaborating with a global customer base on both fixed‑wing and rotary‑wing markets.
As Supplier Performance Manager, you will support a portfolio of suppliers on a day‑to‑day basis, managing project performance and supply chain risks through face‑to‑face and regular meetings or conference calls. You will report to management on any risk, performance, quality concerns or improvement plans, coordinate and attend supplier visits (2–3 per week), assess supply chain and supplier capability to meet current and future delivery and short‑, medium‑ and long‑term requirements, identify, accelerate and mitigate potential supply chain risks and develop associated improvement and mitigation plans.
You will facilitate monthly supplier reviews with the Supplier Quality Manager, Supplier Development Engineer, Purchasing and Procurement departments and buyers, present findings to management, utilise measures such as OTD and scorecards, and communicate overall performance internally and externally. You will prepare, plan and facilitate the monthly supplier performance review, establish action plans with suppliers to achieve operational objectives and monitor their implementation.
- Support suppliers on a day‑to‑day basis in project performance and supply chain risks with face‑to‑face and regular meetings or conference calls.
- Report back to management on any risk, performance, quality concerns or improvement plans.
- Coordinate and attend supplier visits (frequency 2–3 visits per week) with purchasing and procurement team, considering open order books, forecasts, performance and supplier overview.
- Assess supply chain and supplier capability to meet current and future delivery or short, medium and long‑term requirements.
- Identify, accelerate and mitigate potential supply chain risks and put in place associated improvement and mitigation plans.
- Facilitate monthly supplier reviews with the Supplier Quality Manager, Supplier Development Engineer, Purchasing and Procurement departments, buyers and present to management as required.
- Utilise measures (OTD and scorecards) and communicate (internally and externally) overall performance (milestones of industrialisation, supply‑chain OTD and quality PPM).
- Prepare, plan and facilitate the monthly supplier performance review.
- Establish action plans with suppliers aimed at achieving operational objectives and monitor the implementation.
- Significant experience in Supply Chain/Production.
- Lean Six Sigma.
- Literate in Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word).
- Experience using ERP (SAP).
- Excellent problem‑solving skills.
- Experience of supply chain management and supplier development in Aerospace, Defence or Manufacturing environments is desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to improve Supplier Performance (delivery and quality) using appropriate tools and lean methodologies.
- Proficient in creating/validating process flows, lead‑time analysis, understanding capacity bottlenecks, yield and sub‑tier mapping activities to form an industrial view of suppliers.
- Hold excellent problem‑solving skills and understanding of techniques such as DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control) to develop and implement root cause analysis and improvement plans within Supply Chain Qualities.
