I am currently supporting a well-established and growing organisation who are looking to appoint a Shift Manager to join their operational team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience leading teams in a fast-paced warehouse, distribution, logistics, or similar environment.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of your shift, ensuring staff are supported, workloads are well‑organised, and all goods are processed accurately, efficiently and safely. This role would suit someone who enjoys leading from the front and driving performance, while maintaining a positive and professional working environment.

• Lead and support Team Leaders and operational staff during your shift
• Oversee the smooth movement, handling and dispatch of goods
• Ensure high levels of accuracy, productivity and customer service
• Support the planning and allocation of staff, vehicles and equipment
• Liaise with internal departments and external partners to maintain service levels
• Ensure Health & Safety and compliance procedures are followed at all times
• Identify training needs and support staff development
• Maintain standards of housekeeping and ensure the site is safe and well‑presented
• Complete shift‑related reporting, documentation and incident logs when required

• Experience working in warehouse, logistics or operations leadership
• Confident managing teams and coordinating daily workflow
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Able to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
• A proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement
• Comfortable working shifts (rotating shifts or fixed nights/days depending on preference)
