Vehicle Bodybuilder / Commercial Vehicle Body Fitter / Vehicle Panel Builder - Atworth, Wiltshire

Atworth, Wiltshire
Salary:
Up to £15.60 per hour
Hours:
45 hours per week - 07:00 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 14:30 Friday. Flexibility given and required.
We are looking for a hands-on, practical, and motivated Vehicle Bodybuilder / Commercial Vehicle Body Fitter / Vehicle Panel Builder to join a busy manufacturing operation. If you take pride in building high quality work from the ground up and love seeing the finished product roll out of the workshop, this one's right up your street.
Key Responsibilities of a Vehicle Bodybuilder / Commercial Vehicle Body Fitter / Vehicle Panel Builder
Working independently and using your own initiative to meet timelines and quality standards
Reading engineering drawings and working from works orders
Using hand tools, bench saws and measurement equipment safely and confidently
Installing insulated panels on commercial freezer bodies
Completing electrical terminations including lighting, switches and tail lifts
Sealing joints, floors and roofs using silicone and gel coatings
Cutting metals, woods and plastics using hand tools and bench equipment
Maintaining exceptional housekeeping standards in workshops and vehicles
Supporting additional tasks or projects as required by management
Following health and safety procedures, quality controls, and compliance standards
Ensuring good time keeping, conduct and adherence to working practices
Skills and Qualifications for a Vehicle Bodybuilder/ Commercial Vehicle Body Fitter / Vehicle Panel Builder
Essential
Vehicle bodybuilding or commercial vehicle assembly experience
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
Ability to work safely and professionally
Own transport or reliable access to site
Desirable
Ability to read engineering drawings confidently
Experience working with insulated panels or vehicle electrics
