An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Team Leader to join our established team at Tedd Engineering. With over 30 years of experience in providing cutting‑edge electronic control systems for heavy machinery, we have built an unrivalled reputation in the industry. The Team Lead will be responsible for the end‑to‑end oversight of the manufacturing operations at the Toombridge site, covering production, quality assurance, Health & Safety and productivity.

General Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date production drawing, schematics and Bills of Material (BOMs)
  • Champions a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
  • Coordinates targeted training sessions to address key skills and development needs.
  • Promotes and Displays Employee Core Values
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and adopts a positive approach towards training & development activities.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude towards their work and colleagues to help promote employee engagement, improve communication, understanding & mutual respect.
  • Engages in problem solving & collaboration.
  • Coordinate with management on maintenance activities and the procurement of necessary equipment.
  • Collaborate with management to assess and determine the required resources, including workforce and raw materials.
  • Record parts lists for stock adjustments, maintaining precise and up‑to‑date inventory data.
  • Active involvement in stocktaking processes to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity.
  • Ensure quality of product and materials from the designated area.
Background and Experience
  • Demonstrates ability to lead and motivate team in a fast‑paced manufacturing setting.
  • Skilled in fostering respectful, inclusive and productive working relationships across all levels.
  • Practical experience applying lean manufacturing principles in a production environment.
  • Basic electrical/electronic understanding—training on CAN systems and control panels preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Comfortable working in small teams and independently.
  • Effective communication skills and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to handle shifting priorities in a bespoke, high‑mix environment.
  • Basic IT skills (e.g., MS Office for log and record keeping).
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety programmes, with the ability to implement and ensure compliance.
