Fabricator Welder

Vacancy Summary

Severfield is seeking a Fabricator Welder to join our Modular Solutions division. This role will be based at our Sherburn site until our move to Malton in Spring 2026.

• Check that components match the bill of quantity against fabrication drawings and are of the correct size and shape.
• Verify orientation of material matches technical drawings to ensure correct build assembly.
• Determine component landing positions and accurately mark out required locations.
• Notch manually where needed.
• Record  on material to maintain traceability.
• Handle more complex work such as jigs or surveying systems.
• Build modular units and components from engineered drawings.
• Dress product, removing sharp edges using grinding techniques.
• Check quality of own work, clean steel in preparation for paint, and inspect material for defects or spatter.

NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent experience. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of modular building/coach building is preferred.
