Salary: 49,000- 51,000 + Overtime
Area:
Marble Arch (West) to Aldgate East (East), with the majority of sites between Regent Street and Moorgate
Reporting to: Technical Services Manager
Function: Technical Support - PPM, reactive works, small works shutdowns, plant replacement programmes, holiday/sickness cover.
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Capacity Engineer (Foot Mobile) to provide technical support across multiple commercial sites in Central London. The role involves maintaining mechanical and electrical plant, responding to reactive tasks, supporting project works, and ensuring safe, compliant operations across all allocated buildings.
Key ResponsibilitiesPlanned & Reactive Maintenance
Carry out scheduled PPM on all mechanical and electrical equipment in line with site task schedules and asset lists.
Complete reactive maintenance tasks across all sites, including concessionary stores and fabric-related issues.
Identify opportunities for improvement and proactively escalate risks or defects.
Diagnose and rectify plant faults swiftly to minimise downtime.
Ensure adequate spares are available and provide accurate parts lists and timescales for remedial work.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all reactive and breakdown tasks.
Use the site BMS to monitor and oversee environmental and building conditions.
Operate the Permit to Work (PTW) system in accordance with company and client procedures.
Prepare and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks.
Ensure compliance with KPIs, SLAs and all statutory requirements.
Promote a safe working environment, ensuring correct use of uniform and PPE at all times.
Proactively check and enforce adherence to the Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) system.
Supervise and monitor subcontractors to ensure safe and high-quality delivery of maintenance works.
Manage subcontractor approvals and ensure safe operation while on site.
Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors, and client representatives.
Support the engineering team in producing near-miss reports, dynamic risk assessments and accurate site records.
Challenge and escalate any non-compliance as required.
Ensure all plant rooms are kept secure, clean, and well maintained at all times.
Present a professional image of the company across all client interactions.
Complete all tasks assigned by the Site Management Team with appropriate urgency, quality and safety awareness.
Keep the Computer-Based Maintenance System (e.g., Maximo) fully updated.
Ensure all PPM and reactive tickets are accurately completed and closed out promptly.
