Shift Manager - Processing

Here at Saint‑Gobain Glass, we're looking for a Shift Manager (for our Magnetron Coater and Laminating lines)

If you're passionate about leading teams and driving results in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, this could be the role for you. You'll play a key part in ensuring production runs smoothly, targets are met, and standards remain high, whilst motivating and developing your team of Operators.

We need somebody proven in people management that leads from the front, getting stuck in and rolling up your sleeves when necessary.

Based out of our plant in Eggborough, you'll work a 12 hour 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (2 days / 2 nights)

Proven experience in managing teams within a manufacturing or production environment, with a strong focus on achieving operational targets.

Solid understanding of Health & Safety compliance and ability to enforce safe working practices across the team.

Hands‑on experience with production processes and equipment, including troubleshooting and coordinating maintenance activities.

Experience in quality control and delivering against line performance metrics, including reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing team capability through training, coaching, and performance management.

Participate in the process running of the Coater, being actively involved in day‑to‑day activities as well as maintaining an oversight of the manufacturing process

Manage line overtime, manning levels and callouts required to keep the line running

Health and Safety action compliance for team members and equipment

Manage the well‑being, training, and competency development of team members

Manage the permit to work system

Run pro‑active monthly team meeting with full prescribed agenda

Manage on‑shift engineering activities e.g. maintenance, problem solving and improvements

Line quality metrics delivery and required sampling, and report completion

Manage and contributing to site WCM activities and processes
