Head Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal

Overview

Galemire Vets in Cumbria is seeking a dedicated and motivated Head Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a leadership role in a well-established practice located in the heart of the Western Lakeland Fells, near Whitehaven.

• Manage a small, dedicated nursing team and provide high-quality patient care.
• Oversee nursing duties, maintain patient care standards, and support the clinical team with day-to-day operations.
• Lead by example to mentor and develop team members and contribute to clinic standards and procedures.

• Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with leadership experience or a strong desire to step into a management position.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and client service excellence.

• Salary: up to £35,000 per annum
• Full-time role: 40 hours per week over 5 days, shifts 8am–7pm, with no out-of-hours or on-call duties.
