About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Gardener Volunteer to join our dedicated Care Home. We believe that the beauty of nature plays a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing of our residents.

• Make a Real Difference: directly improve the quality of life for residents by creating a peaceful space for relaxation, reflection, and enjoyment of the changing seasons.
• Nurture Nature: plant flowers, tend to shrubs, and maintain a welcoming garden that residents and staff can enjoy.
• Supportive Team: work in a family-oriented atmosphere where everyone is valued and collaborate with the Maintenance Person to create sensory experiences that are calming and engaging for residents.
• Plant seasonal flowers, trim hedges, and care for outdoor spaces to keep them safe, welcoming, and beautiful.
• Conduct regular inspections of garden areas to ensure they are tidy and well-kept.
• Help prepare and maintain garden areas for seasonal changes.

• A positive, friendly attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• An appreciation for the therapeutic benefits of nature, especially for elderly residents with dementia or nursing care needs.
• Enjoy creating outdoor spaces that bring joy and comfort to others.
• Passionate about pairing people with their dream role, lover of braais, and countryside strolls, recruitment advisor with a passion for helping people find the right roles and helping the business grow with the right talent, enjoys spending time with family and friends.
