Job Title

Key Responsibilities- Manage QC activities of the twenty‑five personnel in the laboratory team, across five on‑site laboratories, supporting a high‑volume production plant under GMP.
- Provide efficient QC service within site budget requirements.
- Ensure laboratory work meets GMP, ISO 9001, regulatory, and company quality management standards.
- Maintain routine equipment calibration and consumable control.
- Transfer, trial, and validate new analytical methods in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical expertise on new analytical methods and troubleshoot complex methodologies or technical equipment.
- Write or review quality and safety documentation including SOPs, risk assessments, and stability reports.
- Support company HS&E policies and procedures.
- Lead and manage the leadership team, setting objectives and priorities.
- Drive continuous improvement in the QC environment, including laboratory automation, equipment upgrades, method/process improvements, and new technology implementation.
- Manage local laboratory systems such as Chromatography Data System and LIMS.
- Coordinate and lead customer, regulatory, and third‑party quality audits.
- Collaborate with on‑site and off‑site colleagues to support information requests for customers, technical support, and regulatory requirements.
- Support investigation of customer complaints, deviations, and technical issues on plant.
- Provide advice and support to employees and management as required.
- Conduct internal quality audits to review site practices against relevant Quality and GMP standards covering food, feed, cosmetic, and pharma sectors.
- Develop team competence and ongoing personal development for current and future workforce needs.
- Implement succession planning and employee development to ensure workforce availability.
- Perform other activities to improve quality and compliance as assigned by the Quality Manager.

- Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or related scientific discipline with a minimum of seven years relevant industrial experience, three in a relevant people‑management role, preferably within a GMP lab environment.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical GMP and comprehensive understanding of analytical chemistry as well as organic/inorganic chemistry.
- Experience of HPLC, GC, and titration including troubleshooting is essential.
- Strong understanding of laboratory safety requirements and commitment to a robust safety culture.
- Ownership of issues, strong communication and facilitation skills, and appropriate due diligence and attention to detail.
