Quality Assurance Engineer (Onsite)

Westinghouse Springfields Business is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at the Springfields Fuels Facility, one of the world’s most modern fuel fabrication sites. The role focuses on maintaining and improving quality assurance activities for existing and new customer contracts while ensuring safety standards and continuous improvement.

• Certify product to meet technical specifications set by customers or the internal technical team.
• Provide advice and decision-making on potential non-conforming product.
• Act as Quality Reviewer for related Corrective Action Process (CAP) documentation and oversee plant qualifications.
• Perform in-process monitoring and statistical process control to maintain manufacturing parameters.
• Support auditing of external parties and participate in customer quality meetings.
• Assist in corrective action investigations and first-line quality investigations.
• Maintain certification to ISO
  9001, ISO
  14001, and ISO
  45001.
• Collaborate with the Quality Manager to define, measure, and improve key performance indicators based on the 5 pillars of Safety, Quality, Cost, People, and Delivery.

• Engineering degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
• Experience training staff in Quality Assurance Engineering duties.
• Strong technical understanding of plant processes.
• Ability to work in a controlled area.
• Knowledge of quality/operations management and statistical process control (SPC), trending, and statistics evaluation.
• Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Green Belt, Black Belt, or Six Sigma.
