Overview

This is a key role within Great Western NHS Foundation Trust's Research & Innovation department. This is an exciting opportunity to play an important part in facilitating the set‑up of research projects across our hospital's clinical specialties. By providing co‑ordination and administration support, the post‑holder will help to ensure high quality clinical research governance at the Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and administer support for setup of research projects across clinical specialties.
  • Implement and maintain research management systems, supporting corporate research objectives.
  • Update and maintain the research management system EDGE.
  • Process Trust approval of all research amendments and observational research studies, reviewing study protocols to gain appropriate approvals, contract amendments and issue continued capacity and capability.
  • Invoice against research finance schedules and develop and implement systems for teams to maintain up‑to‑date source information to allow for raising of invoices where appropriate.

Apprentices are exempt from DBS payment.
