Post : H96 - Independent Living Coordinator

Salary: £28,854 to £30,241 per annum. 37 hours per week.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Independent Living Coordinator to join our front-line housing services, providing a service to Independent Living tenants across Broxtowe.

This exciting and fulfilling role works closely with residents, their families and external support agencies to provide housing related services. You will work closely with residents to develop an individual plan to help them live independently and safely within their own homes.

You will work closely with colleagues across the Housing Department and external partner agencies to support tenants, manage anti-social behaviour and to prevent tenancy failure.

Full training will be given to candidates with transferable skills who have the ability and willingness to learn.

We’re looking for an individual who has experience of:

• Working in a fast-paced customer focused environment.
• Providing housing related services.
• Working with older and/or vulnerable people, with an understanding of the issues they face.
• Working with external agencies and have the skills to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.
• Managing a diverse workload with deadlines and conflicting priorities.
• Keeping accurate records and the ability to record and report information accurately both verbally and in writing.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Great organisational skills.
• The ability to work with minimal supervision, manage their own workload and keep to tight deadlines.
• Someone who represents our GREAT values and behaviours.

What you need to know:

• This is a permanent role, and you will have a caseload across the Broxtowe Borough. Travel throughout the borough is essential, and mileage will be paid.
• Your caseload will include visits to tenants in their own homes or the office.
• There will be a requirement to work outside of office hours on occasions.
• Training to help you in the role will be provided.
• Successfully shortlisted candidates will be asked to attend a formal interview to determine suitability for the role.
