Affinity Flying Services plays a vital role in supporting UK military air capability, ensuring the seamless progression of pilots through their training journey. As part of a landmark partnership with the Ministry of Defence, we supply and maintain three aircraft fleets to deliver Elementary and Multi-Engine Flying Training within the UK Military Flying Training System (UKMFTS).

We’re now looking for a Flight Line Mechanic to join our dynamic team at RAF Valley
. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role where you’ll be at the heart of flight line operations — supporting aircraft departures, arrivals, and turnarounds with precision and care.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Safely marshalling, towing, and brake riding Texan aircraft between hangar and flight line
  • Preparing aircraft for departure and supporting aircrew during handover
  • Performing turnaround and arrival procedures including chocking and securing aircraft
  • Operating Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and completing safety inspections
  • Acting as a flight line safety walker to ensure safe aircraft movements
  • Staying up to date with safety bulletins and reporting through AEMS
  • Promoting a strong safety culture and supporting continuous improvement
What You’ll Bring

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven commitment to health and safety in the workplace
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow procedures and work calmly in safety‑critical environments
  • Technically competent with great attention to detail
  • GCSE‑level education
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to obtain UK security clearance
  • Experience in aviation or similar fast‑paced technical environments
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a technical discipline
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools and aviation standards
