Warehouse Operative Dispatch Team

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our dedicated hire operations team. In this role, you will play a key part in preparing hire equipment for dispatch ensuring everything is clean, complete, safe, and ready to reach our customers.

What You ll Do as a Warehouse Operative:

• Prepare hire items for dispatch by checking their condition, cleanliness, and functionality.

• Fit necessary accessories and components to main units according to job or customer specifications.

• Assemble part-build kits when required verifying all components are included and properly secured.

• Pick and pack hire orders accurately, based on dispatch notes or system-generated lists.

• Perform quality checks on all outgoing items to ensure they meet safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.

• Work closely with the hire desk, drivers, and other warehouse colleagues to coordinate timely and accurate dispatch.

• Label equipment and complete all required paperwork or system entries.

• Maintain a tidy, organised, and safe working area at all times.

• Adhere to all health & safety procedures and contribute to a positive safety culture.

• Assist with general warehouse tasks such as goods-in, stock rotation, and other duties as required.

What We re Looking For in a Warehouse Operative:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is essential.

• Supervisory or team-lead experience is a plus (but not required).

• Forklift truck licence is advantageous though full training will be provided.

• Experience or qualification in warehouse operations, supply-chain, or logistics (e.g. IOSCM) is welcome but not mandatory.

• Good communication skills able to liaise with other departments and colleagues via email, calls or Teams.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads to meet dispatch deadlines.

• A strong eye for detail, high standards of accuracy, and a commitment to safety.
