DHL Legal Services supports business partners worldwide with solution-oriented legal advice. We provide comprehensive support in contracts, negotiations, litigation, and commercial law matters.

We are structured both regionally and by global cross-functional topics to ensure efficient and high-quality service.

Support the development and administration of legal processes and procedures to identify and mitigate legal risks and protect DHL’s legal and business interests in line with business needs, relevant standards, and applicable laws and regulations.

• Advise business stakeholders on legal and related risks associated with DHL operations in your area of responsibility.
• Provide comprehensive subject‑matter legal expertise to one or more DHL business units and other internal clients.
• Ensure the organization’s legal interests are well represented and protected in customer, vendor, and third‑party contracts; actively participate in contract negotiations.
• Review legal analyses and technical reports and make recommendations to senior management regarding legal issues or proposed changes.
• Support and implement country and regional legal strategies to ensure effective use of common tools and consistent reporting.
• Implement legal processes and procedures to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal standards.
• Deploy best practices to ensure business activities, policies, and transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Advise the business on legal trends and emerging developments.
• Prepare materials for external legal counsel to ensure they are fully equipped to represent the organization.
• Deliver legal training on topics relevant to the business.
• Demonstrate understanding of legal technology and its potential to enhance delivery of legal services.

• 3+ years of legal practice in a commercial law firm or an in‑house legal department
• Subject‑matter expert with the ability to apply legal knowledge in a business environment
• Fluent in English and Dutch
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Master’s degree in Dutch Law
