AFS continues to grow, and we’re excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join our successful team. You’ll be working on a diverse portfolio of Earthworks and Civil Engineering tenders and enquiries, often from the earliest stages of a project.

The Role:

Estimator

As part of our estimating team, you will:

* Assess and prioritise incoming tenders and enquiries.

* Manage all elements of the estimating process for suitable opportunities.

* Allocate workload effectively to ensure timely and high-quality tender returns.

* Lead and support the pricing process, including schedules and take-offs.

* Build strong professional relationships with clients, stakeholders, staff, and subcontractors.

* Prepare and return professional tender submissions—including programmes, clarifications, H&S, and value-engineering documentation.

* Ensure all pricing is robust, accurate, and supported by supply chain engagement.

* Maximise opportunities across AFS’s multi-divisional capabilities.

* Lead smooth project handovers to construction teams.

* Participate in full 360° reviews of all tender and enquiry processes.

What We’re Looking For

* Proven estimating experience in a similar environment.

* Strong knowledge of forms of contract and various pricing methods.

* Ability to estimate from first principles.

* Excellent organisation with the ability to manage multiple tenders at once.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Professional, detail-driven, and discreet.

* Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.

* Able to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
