Class 2 HIAB Driver – Remote Grab

Permanent, ASAP – Monday to Friday

Salary: £40,000‑£45,000 per annum, dependent on experience

Shift Patterns: 7/8 am starts, 4/5 pm finish; 40 hours per week

• Safely operating a HIAB‑equipped vehicle with crane and grab for loading and unloading goods
• Using crane or grab to handle heavy and bulky items on various job sites
• Flat bed 6 m connected with drawer bar – an extra trailer may be attached when needed
• Assisting or conducting tank positioning as required
• Responsible for all paperwork – vehicle info, delivery notes, return notes, e‑signatures, etc., submitted upon return to head office
• Ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of the HIAB crane
• Performing detailed checks to ensure loads are secure prior to departure
• Delivering/collecting materials as per route planner and site requirements
• Conducting daily HGV inspections to ensure the vehicle is fit for purpose
• Ensuring quality control procedures are strictly adhered to
• Ensuring compliance with the company Health & Safety Policy
• Ensuring the correct PPE is worn at all times where applicable
• Uploading all digital tacho information to your driver card
• Collaborating with the picking and loading team to load vehicles accurately, safely, with the correct orders and on time per multi‑drop load list

• Possession of a HGV Class 2 (C) licence, Driver CPC & DIGI cards, and a current HIAB licence
• No more than 6 points on your licence for insurance purposes (no BA/CD/CU/DR/DD/IN offences)
• Strong work ethic, reliability, flexibility, upbeat attitude, self‑motivation, and resilience – valued traits for this role
