Mechanical Engineer - Design

Position: Mechanical Engineer - Design Change
In a pressurised precision engineering company where quality is No.1, errors occur - Your task is to solve these problems

You'll be investigating manufacturing errors in areas including CNC machining, assembly and test, then using 8D root cause analysis to generate corrective actions

This will result in changes to design, engineering specifications, material selection and manufacturing processes - All of which will be driven by you

With your BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering or similar, combined with commercial experience in engineering design, engineering root cause analysis and engineering change, you'll be producing revised 3D drawings, updated engineering calculations and specifications to substantially reduce manufacturing errors, warranty claims and parts failure
