We have an exciting opportunity to work within our higher education client based in Uxbridge.

Temporary Reseach Finance Assistant (currently 3 months)

Pay: 15.97

Days / hours:
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. First 2 weeks 3 days in and 2 from home, then it will be 2 in the office and 3 from home

Job description

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day management and monitoring of all expenditure within the externally funded research projects.
• Supporting the Research Finance Manager to deliver internal and external reporting.
• Respond to enquiries and requests for funds from Project Investigators, Partners, The College administrators and Project managers.
• Respond to project audit queries as requested by the internal and external auditors.
• Interpret, update, maintain and deliver project milestones
• Extract budgets from research contracts and upload on to Aggresso finance system.
• Collating and providing supporting documentations for project audits and claim submission.
• Where required by funder rules, maintain timesheets for researchers, technician and project investigators.
• Understand and advise on the financial and administrative regulations of the funder(s).
• Meet regularly with relevant Principal Investigators to discuss the financial position of projects; resolve issues and produce amended financial statements as needed.
• Issue invoices, purchase orders, submit claims/expenditure statements on funder portals as and when necessary.
• Attend project review meetings, research finance meetings and actions as appropriate.
• Establish and maintain good working relationship with all internal and stakeholders.
