The Role & Team

Lead an end‑to‑end data migration initiative, ensuring the secure, accurate, and complete transfer of data from legacy systems to a new Oracle Fusion ERP platform with minimal business disruption. The role requires extensive strategy development, management of a small dedicated team, stakeholder engagement, and hands‑on technical expertise in data migration methodologies and tools.

The project will run for 9‑12 months starting in January 2026 and will be based at our head office in Uxbridge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive data migration strategy and plan, including RACI and testing strategies.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day running of the data migration workstream, managing extraction, deduplication, cleansing, transformation and loading.
  • Work with the project team and Systems Integrator to define transformation logic and data‑mapping strategies.
  • Lead data quality assessment, coordinate cleansing and validation activities, ensuring compliance with data governance standards.
  • Identify, log in JIRA, mitigate risks and issues, and act as primary escalation point for migration‑related problems.
  • Facilitate required meetings and workshops, present progress to the Programme Lead, and manage relationships with cross‑functional teams and third parties.
  • Coach and support a small team of data owners (Finance, etc.) to ensure effective time utilisation and project progress.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of processes, data flows, and technical specifications, providing regular updates through dashboards and reports.
Key Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in enterprise data migration projects (ERP, Data Warehouse, or cloud).
  • Proficiency in ETL processes and data migration tools.
  • Strong SQL querying and scripting skills; knowledge of database design and maintenance.
  • Experience with data modelling, data library creation and data governance principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience leading cross‑functional teams in a close‑knit environment.
  • Project management skills using Agile/Scrum, PRINCE2, or MSP.
  • Track record of managing project timelines and delivering milestones.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience also acceptable.
  • Relevant professional certifications (PRINCE2, PMP, SAP, cloud platform) are an advantage.
