UB4 (Must live within 1-hour commute)

Hours:

Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm
Salary: £40,000 per annum

We are urgently seeking a skilled Cabling Technician to join our team within a high-performance data centre environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated engineer with strong cabling experience who is looking for a long-term, secure role with excellent technical exposure.

Key Responsibilities

* Install, decommission, and maintain structured cabling systems within the data centre.

* Terminate patch panels and patch leads, manage cable routing, and support various patch lead connectivity requirements.

* Troubleshoot and test structured cabling using Fluke equipment, producing accurate certification reports.

* Install copper and fibre ICT cabling systems across the facility.

* Support data centre service operations and adhere to site standards and best practices.

* Respond to on-call tasks and attend site within 1 hour when required (essential).

Must-Have Requirements

* Must live within 1 hour of UB4 0JZ
due to 24/7 on-call commitments.

* Proven experience in structured cabling installation and decommissioning.

* Strong practical skills in copper and fibre cabling systems.

* Experience using Fluke testers and producing certification documentation.

* Good understanding of data centre operations and services.

* Previous experience in a similar cabling or data centre role.
