Join us as an intern on a 12-month industrial placement in the B2B & Pro Photographer Imaging Customer & Channel Marketing team, and discover the world of Canon, where we use imaging to transform our world. You’ll be gaining real life marketing experience, assuming real responsibility and making an impact from the get-go. For this fast‑paced placement we are looking for customer minded individuals with a self‑motivated approach to work, used to working in a high pressure, time‑sensitive environment with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
What awaits you?
- As part of a marketing planning team, help design and execute project plans focusing on Imaging (photography, videography & print) in both the B2B & Pro Photographer markets.
- Working towards your own objectives, you will be assigned specific tasks and defined projects to deliver, based on immediate business needs and strategic activity to support longer‑term goals.
- Use your analytical skills to monitor the performance of activities and take appropriate action to provide solutions to problems, escalating issues as appropriate.
- Support the delivery of events and exhibitions targeting both the B2B & Pro Photographer Imaging markets, taking a specific role before, during and after the event, focused on ensuring successful outcomes.
- Work directly with the B2B & Pro Photographer Imaging Sales teams and related sales channel partners to deliver planned activities and provide ad‑hoc support.
- Collaborate with Product, and PR & Communications teams to support wider marketing activities.
- Experience areas such as campaign activation, liaising with design and print agencies, events and exhibitions, photography workshops, incentive schemes, merchandise management, web content, customer communications, social media and more.
- Event support
- Photography workshop programme support
- Campaign asset creation, lead management and reporting
- Web/CRM content management, reporting and evaluation
- Channel marketing support for selected accounts
- Retail/reseller content creation and management
- Merchandise ordering, monitoring and spend management
- Key admin tasks
- Studying towards a bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Economics, Psychology or a related field and on track to achieve at least a 2:1.
- Ability to work on your own and within a team, whilst building and maintaining good working relationships with a diverse range of people, and strong interpersonal skills, to influence and negotiate internally and externally to the organisation.
- Analytical skills with good attention to detail, and organisational and project planning skills with the ability to track projects and provide updates when asked.
- Ability to work under pressure with the energy to manage a busy workload. Confident by nature with the ability to use your own initiative to respond to a fast‑paced environment.
- Outstanding communication skills; both written and verbal.
- Good level of knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Most importantly, you must have the desire to learn.
