Senior Accountant
As part of our local finance team,
Uniserve Communications Corp. (Uniserve) is looking to add a full-time Senior Accountant based out of our Vancouver office.
Uniserve provides the latest technologies in Managed IT services, digital phone, high speed internet, web-hosting, email, Cloud, and co-location Services.
Responsibilities will include:

Preparation of journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, tax and other filings.

Month end close procedures including preparation of monthly working papers, supporting transactions and balances.

Analysis of financial records for discrepancies and variances, providing explanations and recommendations.

Quarterly preparation of external consolidated financial statements and MD&A in accordance IFRS and regulatory standards.

Preparation of working papers, schedules and materials as part of the annual external audit. Preparation of Monthly financial and management reports.

Preparation of Budget and forecasts and analysis of variances.

Maintaining effective internal controls.

Skills and Experience

CPA designation or last stage CFE – passed/completed.

Progressive accounting experience including 2-3 years in a CPA firm.

Strong background in the application of IFRS standards.

Advanced MS Excel, strong systems aptitude.

Experience implementing change and improving existing systems.

Experience in industry with month-end close procedures, managing general ledger and making journal entries.

Working knowledge of Sage 50 (Simply Accounting) and Quickbooks.

Organized and detail oriented, with ability to consistently deliver accurate and timely information.
