Apply WorkSafeBC expertise as a Health and Safety Coordinator in Vancouver, supporting multiple plants and safety programs across BC Materials.
Reporting to the Area Safety Manager, this position supports Heidelberg Materials’ assigned area. It requires occupational health and safety education, program implementation experience, and regulatory compliance planning. The coordinator provides guidance to operational management and employees while improving safety performance.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement Heidelberg Materials Safety/Health Management System programs
- Support BC Materials management and employees with safety guidance
- Interpret emerging Federal, Provincial, and local safety requirements
- Monitor and report facility safety and health performance
- Manage training and organizational compliance measures
- Post-secondary education in Occupational Health and Safety
- Minimum five years of relevant safety experience
- Hold or pursue a CRSP designation
- Develop and implement safety programs
- Demonstrate coaching, teaching, and influencing abilities
Bring WorkSafeBC knowledge, regulatory planning, and safety program expertise to Heidelberg Materials facilities throughout Vancouver and assigned BC operations.
