What you will do
Construction Methods
- Develop and optimize construction methods and sequences in collaboration with project teams.
- Prepare and maintain method statements, drawing, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate, collaborate and/or supervise with technicians and colleagues in the preparation of method documents
- Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify construction challenges and propose solutions.
- Coordinate with planning and site teams to align construction methods with project schedules and logistics.
- Support the development of lifting, hoisting, and access strategies.
- Assist in constructability reviews and provide input during design development.
- Facilitate coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure method feasibility.
- Participate in site visits to validate methods and support implementation.
- Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives related to construction methods.
Temporary Works
- Assist in identifying temporary works needs based on construction methods and site conditions.
- Coordinate with engineers and technicians to support the design and documentation of temporary structures (e.g., formwork, shoring, access systems).
- Review temporary works drawings and calculations for constructability and compliance.
- Support field teams with technical guidance and documentation related to temporary works.
- Ensure temporary works are planned and executed in accordance with safety standards and project requirements.
This role could be for you if you have
- A degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in civil/infrastructure construction, with a strong focus on construction methods.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) license or eligibility to obtain one with British Columbia would be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with temporary works design and coordination.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and construction planning tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Strong understanding of construction techniques and sequencing.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive mindset and attention to detail.

As a Methods & Temporary Works (M&TW) Coordinator, you will play a key role in developing and coordinating construction methodologies to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective project execution. You will support project teams by bridging the gap between design and construction, with a strong emphasis on construction methods and planning, while also contributing to temporary works coordination.
