Our client is seeking a diversified Superintendent experienced in construction of residential, commercial, retail, and industrial buildings. The position requires an individual possessing well-developed communication and supervisory skills.

Job Responsibilities

Manage all on-site activities; ensuring project construction is executed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner while maintaining quality assurance and integrity of design.

Review all working drawings and identify conflicts and issues in advance of commencing work.

Conduct site safety orientations and weekly safety meetings with sub-trades.

Review on-site work to confirm that the project is built as per drawings, specifications, code, and industry standards.

Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule to ensure project completion.

Implement and enforce WCB and company health and safety requirements.

Review shop drawings, change orders, SI’s, and RFI’s as required.

Investigate and resolve issues on site.

Maintain field documentation such as daily logs, safety inspections, progress reports, and other required reports.

Issue work orders for materials and schedule inspections, including coordination of offsite utilities and review with relevant authorities.

Supervise all sub-trades, workers, and suppliers, ensuring performance according to contracts and presence of authorized representatives during activities.

Oversee all site activities daily.

Assist with inspections with municipal building departments, including final occupancy inspections.

Communicate daily with the project manager regarding concerns, discrepancies, and changes during construction.

Keep a daily log/journal of all site activities.

For a successful application, you must have experience in all aspects of multi-residential high-rise concrete construction, strong communication and team-building skills, and a proven track record of accomplishments in construction. Demonstrate the ability to analyze, problem-solve, recommend changes, and implement solutions with a strong process perspective.
