Job Title: Dental Technician (CAD/CAM Designer)
Location: Vancouver, BC – Transcend Lab at Transcend Specialized Dentistry
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Salary Range: $75,000–$82,000

Key Responsibilities- CAD/CAM Design
- Utilize 3
Shape or Exocad software to design single units, full-mouth, and full-arch restorations (crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant-supported cases).
- Utilize 3
- Complex Case Management
- Independently handle aesthetic veneer designs, multi-implant configurations, and other advanced restorative workflows.
- Aesthetic Design Excellence
- Apply advanced principles of smile design, tooth morphology, and color theory to create highly aesthetic restorations that complement each patient's facial features and preferences.
- Implant Planning & Surgical Guide Fabrication
- Collaborate on digital implant planning using software such as co Diagnostix or Blue Sky Plan, and design and fabricate surgical guides for accurate implant placement.
- Provisional & Temporary Fabrication
- Design and produce high-quality provisional restorations, including immediate temporaries for implant cases and diagnostic wax-ups for case acceptance.
- Digital Fabrication
- Operate and maintain 3D printing and milling equipment. Oversee file preparation and production to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Collaboration
- Work directly with prosthodontists and ceramists to clarify clinical requirements, discuss material options, and maintain top-quality standards.
- Case Coordination & Administration
- Assist in scheduling and tracking incoming lab cases, organizing digital files, and ensuring timely communication of case statuses.
- Maintain clear, accurate records and help manage lab supplies as needed.
- Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of hands‑on CAD/CAM design experience.
- Demonstrable skill in full‑arch, implant‑based, and complex restorative cases.
- Technical Proficiency
- Strong command of 3
Shape or Exocad software. - Familiarity with 3D printing, milling workflows, and various restorative materials.
- Strong command of 3
