Intermediate Process Engineer – WSP Canada

Job Description

As an Intermediate Process Engineer you will plan, execute, and manage process‑engineering tasks with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing process calculations, designing equipment, creating process flow diagrams, and supporting senior engineers on larger projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct process simulations to optimize performance and efficiency.
  • Determine appropriate sizes for equipment and process lines.
  • Create and maintain data sheets for equipment and instruments.
  • Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and mark up Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Analyze process data, identify bottlenecks, and propose efficiency improvements.
  • Participate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies and propose mitigation measures.
  • Review vendor drawings to ensure compliance with process requirements.
  • Lead smaller projects or support specific client engagements under the guidance of senior engineers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of process‑engineering experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably with gas processing plant exposure.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licence.
  • Strong communication, report‑writing, and organizational skills.
  • Team‑oriented mindset in an intermediate role, eager to develop technical expertise.
Salary

Salary range for British Columbia: $82,900 – $114,000 (annual). Final compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and business needs.
