Digital Design Implementation Application Engineer; AE

Digital Design Implementation Application Engineer (AE) is expected to support the sale and adoption of Synopsys new generation RTL-to-GDSII design implementation products that enable a new era in digital design implementation, to help customers achieve tangible and lasting performance improvements in the cost, quality, and development time for projects.

The AEs support a vertical flow from RTL to GDSII, covering synthesis, STA, formal verification, low power solutions and physical design, and also collaborate with TEST AEs and physical verification AEs to completely address the design implementation needs.

In addition, they are expected to articulate design methodologies involving Synopsys tools and be elevator-talk proficient in the full Synopsys tool portfolio.

Their sales support roles include product introductions, demonstrations, evaluations, competitive benchmarking and account planning;
Customer support roles include training, problem resolution, and technical account management.

The AEs leverage their knowledge by writing Solv Net Articles, and by assisting other team members. They also provide technical feedback to Synopsys product development teams pertaining to critical issues and recommended enhancements.

Business travel will be required for this position. Requirements: MSEE, or equivalent required with 3+ years of experience, or BSEE or equivalent with 5+ years of experience.

Work experiences should include physical design and / or physical aware synthesis, STA and timing ECO, and low power design.

Experiences in other SoC design activities such as formal verification and understanding of DFT/TEST are strongly desired. Excellent verbal and written presentation/communication skills are mandatory.
