Job Title: Engineering Manager
Department: Product Management (C&T Division)
Location: Vancouver, BC – Hybrid (Min. 2 days/week onsite)
Salary: $140,000 – $150,000 + bonus

Our client is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a team of transportation engineers supporting product development, research, and innovation. This role bridges engineering and software development, ensuring transportation software tools are technically strong, user-focused, and aligned with market needs.

• Lead and mentor a team of transportation engineers

• Work with Product and Development teams to shape and deliver software features

• Oversee technical validation, testing, and documentation

• Drive research and innovation in transportation engineering

• Coordinate across teams (Product, UX, QA) to ensure quality and timelines

• Represent the client in meetings, conferences, and industry events

• Bachelor’s in Transportation or Civil Engineering

• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng Canada or PE US)

• 7+ years of experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role

• Strong knowledge of traffic operations, design, and safety

• Experience collaborating with software teams (Agile methods)

• Familiar with tools like Synchro, VISSIM, SIDRA, AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Master’s degree

• Background in a tech/software company

• Familiarity with transportation tech trends and UX/QA/product marketing

• Industry speaking or publishing experience
