Data Scientist, Ecommerce
Epic Games is looking for a Data Scientist to support the data requirements of our E-Commerce and payments functions.

What You’ll Do

Work across Accounting, E-Commerce, Finance, and Analytics teams, sharing KPI-driven reporting and insights.

Partner with ECOM product and programming to design, run, and report experiments to optimize front-end and back-end payment processing operations.

Develop and maintain standards for dashboards and reporting initiatives, ensuring accurate and appropriately visualized data.

Implement best-in-class data practices with stakeholders and programmers.

Provide insights and research into our payment ecosystem from a technical, financial, and user-experience perspective.

Take accountability for data quality, working with programming and QA to consistently monitor and improve the data ecosystem.

Perform statistical data analysis and advanced analyses to showcase the impacts of product decisions.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a data science professional in a payments or e-commerce environment.

Expert-level skills in Tableau, including dashboard design, performance optimization, and data storytelling.

Strong data modeling capabilities for scalable, efficient, and business-relevant models.

Solid foundation in statistics and quantitative analysis, including experiment design and model evaluation.

Proficiency in Python for data analysis, DAGs/ETL, and data manipulation in PySpark.

Deep understanding of payment flows, e-commerce systems, and the payments landscape.

Strong communication skills, able to translate technical insights for executives and collaborate cross-functionally.

Experience with SQL (any dialect), PySpark, Python, Tableau, Astronomer, Git Hub, and Databricks.

User-focused mindset, bias toward action, adaptability, and innovation.

Compensation
Base pay range: $179,084–$262,656 CAD (British Columbia). Additional incentive programs may apply.
