Technical Support & Service Advisor - HVAC Greater Vancouver, BCOur client is one of Canada’s wholesale distributor leaders in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning servicing both the Residential and Commercial sectors. Through their supplier partnerships, a need has grown to add a highly motivated
Technical Support & Service Advisor to partner direct with their vendor partners so they can become experts in the products they sell.
The primary function of the position is to provide technical support and training to customers and employees alike. The successful candidate will be able to utilize exceptional communication & presentation skills to deliver training and product information to end users, contractors/technicians, and internal stakeholders at all levels within their branch infrastructure. This key leadership role will become an essential bridge between our clients vendor/supplier partners, their sales and branch customer service team members, and of course to their the customers they support and sell to.
Responsibilities include:Work with key internal and external stakeholders to develop training sessions to educate them on equipment and their capabilities (as well, how to position products to the market)Establish strong relationships with customers and vendorsDevelop training, tests, and assignments for your coworkers on the product platformsWork with existing onboarding material and recommend alterations where information is lacking and help collaborate on updatesAssist with the administration of warranty support for relevant HVAC product linesAssist customers by phone, via email, and in-person with troubleshooting issues, product inquiries and technical service related questionsParticipate in professional organizations, conferences, networking events, and tradeshowsSupport the roll-out of new product lines as they developProvide specs, installation, and operations materials to customers and help support engineering teamProvide on site training and demonstrations to your customers and end-usersQualifications3-5 years of direct ‘hands-on’ technical experience within the HVAC sector is a essentialMust possess HVAC-related troubleshooting skills in both commercial and residential settingsOutstanding communication skills, both written and oral, including the ability to communicate with all levels of organizations, and with strategic vendor partnersResults driven, ability to handle multiple tasks, energetic and self-motivatedPossess the ability to be a self-starter…and the motivation to create new programs independentlyOutstanding customer facing acumen with the ability to produce and deliver technical training presentations to customers and co-workersComfortable using multiple computer applicationsValid Driver’s License
