Senior​/Lead Engineer, AI Video Agents

Overview

Opus Clip is seeking a Growth Engineer with 5–8 years of experience who blends strong product intuition with scrappy 0→1 engineering execution to drive product-led growth. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you’ll work at the intersection of engineering, marketing, and product. You’ll help define how Opus Clip grows, building rapid experiments and scalable solutions across web, mobile, and integration surfaces.

• Identify, design, and execute growth experiments across acquisition, activation, and retention funnels. Set up or scale experimentation framework

• Rapidly prototype and ship scrappy 0→1 tools: integration apps, SEO/GEO experiments, mini-tools, and mobile features. Land measurable impact.
• Analyze growth data, define metrics, and iterate on strategies to improve LTV:
  
  CAC and optimize the upper funnel.
• Build cross-stack solutions (web, backend, mobile) with strong foundations in software engineering.
• Drive GTM launches for Opus Clip and help craft our brand narrative at the forefront of AI video. Ambition to grow into ownership of major growth KR and eventually lead larger teams.
• You’ll work closely with the Head of Growth on co-founder level initiatives. You’ll collaborate with a small, fast-moving team of marketers and product managers.
• Bring strong CS foundations with proven ability to build and ship quickly across web and/or mobile (React, Node.js, Swift/Kotlin a plus).
• Demonstrate a growth mindset: resourceful, impact-driven, and comfortable iterating under uncertainty.
• Be a scrappy generalist who thrives in 0→1 environments and works well with limited resources.
• Exhibit excellent product sense: deeply understand users and translate insights into solutions that drive growth.
• Be a fast learner, able to pick up new tech stacks, growth strategies, or domains quickly.
• Be comfortable in an intense performance culture that values speed, autonomy, and measurable impact.
• Be passionate about AI and video as the new language of communication.

• Familiarity with growth marketing and distribution strategies (SEO, social, integration).
• Experience working at a frontier AI company or in a high-growth startup environment.
• Background in building small, high-leverage tools or side projects that drove measurable adoption.
• Strong communication and influence skills: ability to advocate for ideas, drive alignment across teams, and present data-driven recommendations to leadership.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives by coordinating with marketing, product, and data teams to align on growth priorities and execution.
