Position OverviewWe seek an associate lawyer to practice in insurance coverage law and general civil litigation. The role will work closely with Greg Tucker, K.C., on commercial property, builders risk, liability, wrap‑up liability, professional liability, directors‑and‑officers, errors‑and‑omissions and other insurance coverage matters, with civil litigation as supplemental work.
Responsibilities- Conduct own files of appropriate complexity in insurance coverage and general civil litigation.
- Assist senior counsel on more complex matters.
- Draft pleadings, prepare chambers applications, negotiate at mediations, and appear at trial.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client matters within scope.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage and litigation practice.
- Demonstrated ability to draft pleadings, negotiate and litigate effectively.
- Capable of conducting files from inception to completion.
- Strong communication and client‑management skills.
- Base salary: $143,000 – $182,000 depending on year of call (lock‑step model).
- Lucrative bonus model rewarding billable‑hour expectations.
